About the Client
STAIT for MEN is an Australian premium men's health and nutraceutical supplement brand. Founded by Sam & Shaun Sargent, the brand's mission is captured in its tagline: "Add Life to Your Years & Years to Your Life." STAIT operates on a foundation of authenticity, every team member genuinely uses and believes in the products, and all testimonials come from real people, including health professionals such as Dr Joe Gaunt, Health Psychologist.
STAIT sits at the premium end of the men's health supplement market, a positioning reflected in everything from brand tone to product design. The aspiration has always been a brand that lets the product speak for itself, not unlike luxury marques such as Riva, where the name alone conveys quality and credibility.
The brand serves men who understand that quality matters, whether that's in the car they drive, the way they look after themselves, or the supplements they choose to fuel their health.
The Challenge
The existing Shopify site had been a nightmare for years. Hard-coded Buy Now buttons appearing on the wrong pages, hard-coded colours that couldn't be changed without diving into theme code, and a blog/articles section that arbitrarily limited the number of posts displayed, no matter how much content the team created. The layout system was so locked down that even a founder who knew Photoshop, InDesign, and basic Shopify couldn't fix problems without risking breaking something else.
Beyond the technical headaches, the site simply didn't reflect the STAIT brand. A premium product that competes on science, quality, and authenticity deserves better than a patched-together Shopify theme.
The critical constraint: the Shopify backend had to stay. A 3PL warehouse in Sydney used Shopify's backend to sync inventory across two warehouses. Australia Post integration, Klaviyo email flows, and a range of other operational apps all depended on Shopify running underneath. A full rip-and-replace wasn't an option, a new front end had to be built without disturbing a single one of these integrations.
The Solution
We began with a deep brand discovery session, working through what STAIT stood for, who their ideal client was, and what the site needed to communicate. The answer came quickly: UNAPOLOGETICALLY STRONG.
From there, a fully custom Next.js front end was built while leaving the entire Shopify backend stack untouched, 3PL warehouse sync, Australia Post, Klaviyo, and all associated apps continued running exactly as before. The new site delivers everything a premium brand needs: full editorial control, unlimited layout flexibility, custom micro-interactions, with none of the Shopify theme constraints that had been frustrating the team for years.

Technical Features
I know my way around Shopify, it's really easy... what I can't do is I'm not a coder. And so we really like to get a proper custom site. There's nothing that you said that we can disagree with.
